Ms. Hardy's 8th Grade Social Studies class has been working on learning about Aqueducts (water piping system during Ancient Roman era). They now understand how much work to build it back then with not much technology and equipment. They also understand how the water system was important to the city of Rome. They did phenomenal job building it and enjoyed testing to see if the ball (as water) rolls.

Today in Mrs. Holcomb's Algebra 1 class, the students learned about how to graph equations with absolute value as a part of the equation. Students were encouraged to explore different graphs, try different numbers and operations, and watch what happened to the graph with each change. Pictured is one student, Joel Farmer, with his graph. Each different colored "V" shape is a new absolute value equation, and together, it creates quite the visual effect! Great job Joel!

In US History II, Renee Payne's Junior class has been working on a project related to the Vietnam War. They researched various battles, found maps and photos related to each, and even learned how to hyperlink a video to their content. The students took away from the project a new appreciation for the tough position faced by our soldiers who fought in this difficult struggle.
