Another week has flown by and all ten dorms continue to be busy! Sunday began our chapel program for our younger students. Jemison House residents prepared breakfast in their dorm as a part of their independent living program. Monday, our older students held their annual program with the local police. We appreciate the officers who presented on such timely topics as social media, harassment, and bullying. Tuesday, the dorms enjoyed a visit from Lisa Booker, Job Coach at E.H. Gentry. Wednesday, our Big Brothers and Big Sisters met for the first time (photo below).

In Renee Payne’s 9th Grade World History class, the students finished their section on the Renaissance by attempting to recreate the famous Mona Lisa. They worked really hard, had a great time, and learned how challenging it can be to create a masterpiece!
